Current Research
Ecology, systematics, population biology and bioenergetics of parasites, including the regulation of host populations by parasites, host-parasite population dynamics, systems analysis and modeling, and energy dynamics of host-parasite systems. Focus is to determine the relative importance of parasite-induced host mortality, parasite-induced reduction in host fecundity and parasite-induced energy loss in the population dynamics of host-helminth associations. Approach is multidisciplinary, integrating many aspects of aquatic ecology, population regulatory biology, bioenergetics, population genetics and community ecology.
