On Tuesday, 22 September 2009, the Quiz Bowl Team of the TAMU Chapter of The Wildlife Society won the National Quiz Bowl Competition at Monterey Bay, California.  The Texas A&M Team was composed of Sammy Reinhart (Captain), Andy Maddox, Drew Fowler, and Caleb Carter.  Fourteen teams participated in the competition.  The Aggies took on the prohibitive favorites, Humboldt State University, in the finals and won 165-130.  In all, the Texas A&M team had to win four matches (Penn State University, SUNY - Syracuse, Utah State University, and Humboldt State University).  This is the second national victory in 5 years.
