TCWC Nature Trail

In 1997, the Texas Cooperative Wildlife Collection received a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife which enabled the construction of a 1.5 mile nature trail on University property adjacent to the collection facility. The Boy Scouts of America provided labor and continue to assist in maintaining the trail. The trail is open for public use year-round. The trail consists of a single-track hard packed path accompanied by benches, a bird blind, outdoor classroom, and plant ID stations. Maps are available at the entrance of the trail.

The wetland area, outdoor classroom, and bird blind are located along the trail and provide excellent learning opportunities for the casual visitor or school group. If your group would like to reserve one of these areas please contact Heather Prestridge.
